Terms of use
Draft: this text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and is not in force.
Last updated:
These terms apply to the RailSnap app and this website, made by [owner’s name], [postal address].
Using the app
You may use RailSnap to plan layouts, for yourself or for others. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as well.
Subscriptions
- Saving to a file, printing and keeping your layout from one session to the next need a subscription. Everything else in the app stays free.
- A subscription is monthly or yearly, bought in the app through the App Store, Google Play or the Microsoft Store. The price is shown in the store before you buy.
- It renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store, Google Play or Microsoft account settings; in the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The store bills you, and refunds follow the store’s rules.
Your layouts
The layouts you make are yours.
Accuracy
The pieces in the app follow their makers’ published sizes, and the app checks that plans close within what real track allows. Track and roads differ slightly from piece to piece, and makers change their ranges. Check a plan and its parts list before you buy or build. RailSnap is provided as it is, and we are liable only as far as the law requires; this does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.
Trademarks
Märklin, Trix, Roco, Piko, Faller, Vollmer and Noch are trademarks of their owners. RailSnap is not made by or affiliated with them, and uses their names and article numbers only to identify the pieces.
The forum
The forum has its own guidelines and terms, linked at the bottom of every forum page.
Changes and law
If these terms change, the new version is published here with its date. These terms are governed by [the law of the owner’s country].
